Catholic Students Organization (CSO) Join Palm Sunday Procession at St. Joseph’s Parish

Palm Sunday recalls the story in Christian Scripture of Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem, where He was greeted by people waving palm branches. It serves as a reminder for Christians to welcome Jesus into their hearts and be willing to follow Him.
Today, the Catholic Students Organization (CSO) at St. Joseph’s College of Health Sciences joined St. Joseph’s Parish in celebrating this event in Nguludi , Chiradzulu.

Educational Visit to the National Herbarium and Botanical Gardens – 5th April 2025

On 5th April 2025, Diploma in Pharmacy (Upgrading) students conducted an educational visit to the National Herbarium and Botanical Gardens (NHBG) in Zomba.

The purpose of the visit was to gain insights into the operations of the NHBG and enhance students’ understanding of medicinal plant identification, with a focus on distinguishing beneficial medicinal plants from poisonous species.

During the visit, Dr. Zacharia Magombo, Director of NHBG, emphasized the critical role of collaboration between training institutions and NHBG, especially for colleges offering pharmacy programs and conducting medicinal plant research. He highlighted that partnerships with NHBG are essential to ensure the accurate identification of plant species, thereby preventing errors in the formulation and production of herbal medicines.

Welcome

Welcome to St Joseph’s College Website

Welcome to St Joseph’s College of Health Sciences website. Our College is a center of excellence in training health and health-related personnel. The College believes in providing top-quality education coupled with holistic student growth. It also aims to create successful global citizens who are fit for today’s dynamic world, where every moment a technological innovation is developed. The College provides ample opportunities for students to innovate, think critically, and lead the learning process.

As you navigate through the site to discover what we have to offer, you will find answers to the many preliminary questions you may have about our College, our academic programs, and students’ lives.

I believe in upholding high standards with an absolute commitment to strive to understand and improve the educational process, using team strategies, while wholly centering on student achievement.

The College follows two diverse strategies that are of Love and Logic to foster a positive learning environment for all our students. Love and Logic may seem like two contrasting forces. While love helps nurture trusting relationships, where students feel respected, appreciated, and loved by the lecturers, logic helps develop students’ personal responsibility, self-control, good decision-making skills self-confidence, and character-building with high moral values.

Whilst we know that the information here will give you answers to some of your questions, we also know that learning is social, and in this context, we encourage you to come and speak to us in person for a more detailed perspective. I look forward to working with you as we help create a College where parents are welcome at any time, students are engaged in meaningful learning, and staff members are valued and appreciated for their efforts.
